Grand Rapids, Ohio — The Grand Rapids Historical Society is bringing back its Rhythm on the River Music Series for another summer season along the Maumee River.
The first concert of the 2026 season will feature HayFire on Sunday, June 21, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The free concert will take place at the Wright Pavilion, located along the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River near the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe’s Venue.
HayFire is part of Spitler Cooksey Entertainment and has performed together for six years. The group features Rick Spitler on drums, Benton Cooksey on lead guitar and vocals, Dan Long on bass guitar and vocals, and Barbi Cooksey on lead vocals. The concert will also include patriotic music selections in recognition of America’s 250th birthday celebration.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the outdoor performance along the river. In the event of bad weather, the concert will move to the Old Fire Station on Front Street.
Admission is free and open to the public.
