TOLEDO, Ohio — Authorities have arrested another suspect in the shooting that injured 12 people during Toledo’s Old West End Festival earlier this month.
According to Toledo police, Ka Nye Taylor was taken into custody Wednesday in Columbus. The arrest was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Ohio State Police SWAT and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Taylor had previously been charged with 11 counts of felonious assault in connection with the June 6 shooting. Police said he will be returned to Toledo to face prosecution.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of Delaware and Glenwood avenues during the annual festival. Investigators have said evidence indicates at least two individuals exchanged gunfire, leaving multiple people wounded.
Taylor is the second adult suspect arrested in the case. Eljay Crisp-Carr was taken into custody June 12 and also faces 11 counts of felonious assault.
Police have additionally arrested a juvenile who is charged with tampering with evidence. Investigators allege the juvenile left the scene with a firearm connected to the incident.
All 12 victims survived and were reported to be in stable condition following the shooting, according to Toledo police.
The investigation remains active as authorities continue to review evidence and pursue the case through the court system.
