Watkins Glen, NY — According to Jayski.com, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Connor Zilisch was transported to a local hospital Saturday after falling from his car in Victory Lane at Watkins Glen International. The incident occurred moments after his win in the Xfinity race.
Zilisch later posted an update on his X account, saying:
“Thank you everybody for reaching out today. I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse.❤️”
His injuries will force him to miss Sunday’s Cup Series race, Go Bowling at The Glen (2 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NBC Sports App). Trackhouse Racing announced they will withdraw the No. 87 Chevrolet entry, wishing Zilisch a speedy recovery.
