TOLEDO, Ohio — A 38-year-old man from West Virginia died Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 75 in Toledo.
According to Toledo Police, Jessie Moats was initially involved in a single-vehicle crash while traveling northbound on I-75 near the Anthony Wayne Trail. After the crash, investigators say he left the scene on foot and crossed over the concrete median barrier separating northbound and southbound traffic.
