GRAND RAPIDS, OH – Bargain hunters, collectors, and summer shoppers will want to mark their calendars for Friday, August 8th and Saturday, August 9th, as Grand Rapids, Ohio, hosts its annual Community Garage Sale Weekend.
Dozens of homes, churches, and local spots will be packed with everything from clothing and furniture to tools, antiques, toys, and household treasures. Some sales will even kick off early on Thursday for those who like to get a head start.
The event isn’t just about great deals—it’s also about giving back. Several sales will benefit local causes, including a major tent sale at 24241 2nd Street (RT 65) raising funds for the Otsego Food Pantry, which helps feed families in need throughout the area. Visitors can also stop by Grand Rapids Calvary Church for shopping and lunch on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
While in town, shoppers are encouraged to explore Grand Rapids’ downtown businesses, such as Grand Rapids Vintage Treasures and The Shoppes at Carson Block, both offering special deals and one-of-a-kind finds during the event.
Neighboring communities are also joining in, with sales in Tontogany, Bowling Green, and along Old US 24 adding to the list of places to explore.
