TOLEDO, Ohio — Law enforcement is investigating a Friday afternoon robbery at the KeyBank branch on Suder Avenue near Shoreland Avenue in Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood.
The incident happened around 3:40 p.m., when an employee reported the robbery to police. Officers quickly responded, closing nearby roads and securing the area. Everyone inside the bank, including staff and customers, was safely evacuated.
Authorities confirmed there was one suspect involved. While no identity has been released, 13abc reports the Toledo Blade indicated the suspect turned a gun on himself during the incident.
Toledo Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The FBI and Toledo Police are leading the investigation, which remains active.
