GRAND RAPIDS, OH – As the 2025 election cycle approaches, several local government positions in Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Township will be on the ballot. Residents will have the opportunity to vote for key council and township seats that play a vital role in shaping the community.
Grand Rapids Village Council Seats
The following Grand Rapids Village Council members’ terms are set to expire at the end of 2025, making them up for election on November 4, 2025:
- Jody Donsbach – Serving since 2018, her current term commenced on January 1, 2022, and will conclude on December 31, 2025.
- Martha Frantz – Took office in 2022 and is currently serving a term that began on January 1, 2022, and ends on December 31, 2025.
- Louise Estep – Appointed in 2023, her term began on July 24, 2023, and will expire on December 31, 2025.
- Lynn Sylvain – Serving since 2022, her term started on January 1, 2022, and ends on December 31, 2025.
These positions have a four-year term length. The next general election for these seats will take place on November 4, 2025.
Grand Rapids Township Trustee Seats
For Grand Rapids Township, two trustee seats will be on the ballot in the upcoming election:
- David L. Chamberlain – Serving since 2018, his current term began on January 1, 2022, and is set to expire on December 31, 2025.
- Ike M. Topp – Also serving since 2018, his term began on January 1, 2022, and will expire on December 31, 2025.
Both township trustee positions have four-year terms, with elections scheduled for November 4, 2025.
