Fallen Timbers Housing Project Collapses; Data Center Speculation Surfaces

WATERVILLE, Ohio — A major housing development planned near The Shops at Fallen Timbers will not move forward after the land deal fell through.

According to WTOL, the project, known as the Enclave at Fallen Timbers, called for more than 300 homes on 95 acres along Black Road, including townhouses, trails, and open space. Developers say the deal collapsed in the spring when the property owner did not appear at closing. A lawsuit followed, but the case was dismissed in July. An appeal is now underway.

With the project canceled, the land’s future is uncertain. Township officials confirm they’ve heard speculation about a possible data center but emphasize no applications have been submitted. Both Monclova and Waterville townships recently updated zoning codes to allow such facilities, but leaders say the idea remains only a possibility.

For now, the property remains vacant, with its future use yet to be decided.
