River Rat Country and Towpath Radio are operated by NWO Community Media Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

Our goal is to serve Southern Lucas County, Northwest Wood County, Eastern Henry County, and the surrounding rural communities with news, information, and entertainment.

River Rat Country’s sister station, Towpath Radio, is currently raising funds to build an F.C.C. approved F.M. station! Once built, Towpath Radio will broadcast at 98.7 FM from Grand Rapids and cover areas from Bowling Green to Napoleon, and Swanton to Deshler. This is a MAJOR breakthrough for Northwest Ohio radio, as this will bring true oldies and community service radio back to the rural areas of Northwestern Ohio. In total we need to raise between $10,000 and $15,000 over the next 2 years to purchase equipment and get it installed.

Sponsorships are incredibly easy, giving your business a very strong “thank you” to our many listeners! Your business’ spot will reach nearly 1500 local listeners each month through our webstream. You can get your business on Towpath Radio or River Rat Country for as little as $35 per month for simple announcements (limited inventory) or $75 for more complex spots.

NWO Community Media is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

All donations go in the NWO Community Media general fund, unless specified by the donor. If you’d like your donation to be used specifically for Towpath Radio or River Rat Country, please let us know!
