In a press release to the community, the Village of Whitehouse saluted the community for stepping up to donate 3,271 toys for children in need.
Both the Whitehouse Police Department and Whitehouse Fire Department hosted a toy drive from November 15 through December 15. The two departments competed for donations, winner receiving the Golden Teddy Bear.
According to the Village, the fire department collected the highest total donations of 1,981 while the police department collected 1,290 toys.
