SWAN CREEK TOWNSHIP – A Sylvania teen was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Fulton County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the crash happened around 2:27 a.m. on County Road D near Birdsong Lane in Swan Creek Township.
Timothy L. Urbina Jr., 18, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro westbound when he lost control, veering off the right side of the road and through a field before striking a tree. Urbina was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say he was wearing a seatbelt, and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
County Road D was closed for about an hour and a half but has since reopened.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Fulton County Coroner, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, local fire departments, and EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
