GRAND RAPIDS, Ohio — The Rhythm on the River Arts Series will close its season Sunday, Oct. 4, with performances by the Otsego Show Choir and the Otsego High School Band.
The free program begins at 4 p.m. at the M.J. Wright Pavilion, located on the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street.
The annual meeting of the Grand Rapids Historical Society, which sponsors the concert series, will be held before the program at 3:45 p.m. Society members are encouraged to attend.
The Oct. 4 program will feature one of the first show choir performances of the school year. The high school band will also perform highlights from its football halftime show.
The Otsego choirs and bands have earned superior ratings at Ohio Music Educators’ Association competitions.
The program is sponsored by Downey Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Refreshments will be available during the afternoon.
In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the Old Fire Station.
