Grand Rapids Rally by the River Days 2024 Schedule (Updated)

Grand Rapids’ Rally by the River Days is back for 2024. This three day event kicks off on Friday, July 12, and goes all weekend in and around the Village of Grand Rapids.

Friday, July 12

  • 5pm – Ringing of Town Hall Bell
  • 5pm – Kick Off Party on the Towpath
    • Features Live Street Artists, Towpath Radio, plus Dougarita Drinks, and Elderberry Lemonade & Beer.
  • 7pm – “The Sound of Music” at Town Hall
  • 8pm – Ice Cream Social in the Old Fire Station

Saturday, July 13

  • 10am – Rally by the River Parade in downtown
  • 11am – Chicken BBQ at the new fire station (2nd and Wapakoneta)
  • 11-1pm – Kids Dream Catcher Craft
  • 12-2pm – Kids Casting Competition on the towpath
  • 12-6pm – Kids rock painting in the Old Fire Station
  • 3pm – Buck A Duck at Town Hall Park
  • 4pm – Corn Hole Tournament on the towpath
    • Arts Council Beer Tent
    • Hotdogs and Chips in Wright Pavilion
  • 7pm – “The Sound of Music” at Town Hall
  • 8pm – Ice Cream Social at the Old Fire Station

Sunday, July 14

  • 11-1p – Kids Duck Race in the Old Fire Station
  • 12-3p – Kids Rock Painting at the Old Fire Station
  • 1pm – Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Old Kayak Shop (near docks)
  • 1:30pm – Ice Cream Social in the Old Fire Station
  • 2pm – “The Sound of Music” at Town Hall
  • 4pm – Puppy Parade starting at Town Hall Park

The weekend will also feature kayaking, fishing, chalk art in the park, photo contest voting, in store specials, sidewalk sales, tours of Historic Ludwig Mill, camping, biking, GAS Disc Golf, and swimming at the pool!
