Grand Rapids, Ohio – The Grand Rapids Historical Society is proud to present the 2025 season of the Rhythm on the River Music Series, kicking off Sunday, June 15 at 4:00 p.m. in the scenic Wright Pavilion along the Maumee River.

The season opens with acclaimed Appalachian folk artist Megan Bee, whose evocative lyrics and rustic storytelling have earned her praise across the Americana music scene. Her 2022 album Cottonwood was named among the year’s best by Americana UK and No Depression Magazine, described as “as real as it gets.”

Bee’s unique style blends homespun vocals, acoustic roots, and heartfelt themes inspired by nature and place. With a background as a farmhand, educator, and wanderer, Megan’s songs channel life lessons found in the hills of Athens, Ohio, and the desert campfires of her past.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy this free concert held at the Wright Pavilion, located at the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe’s Venue. In case of rain, the concert will relocate to the Old Fire Station farther west on Front Street.
