WAUSEON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a plane crash that occurred Sunday evening at the Fulton County Airport in Dover Township.

According to the Patrol’s Toledo Post, the crash happened on December 21, 2025, at approximately 5:16 p.m. Preliminary findings indicate a 1959 Beechcraft BE-35, piloted by 45-year-old Seth K. Andrews of Clearwater, Florida, was westbound while approaching the runway to land.

Investigators say Andrews failed to lower the aircraft’s landing gear, causing the plane to land on its underside. Andrews was not injured in the incident.

Authorities report that neither impairment nor weather conditions were factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

Troopers have notified the Federal Aviation Administration and are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the landing.
