The Wood County Dog Shelter is seeing a rise in the number of abandoned and neglected dogs, many arriving in poor health and putting extra strain on the shelter’s resources. Staff are working to care for these animals, but the surge highlights ongoing issues with irresponsible pet ownership.
Currently, 17 dogs are listed for adoption, all looking for loving homes. The shelter is urging the community to consider adopting, fostering, or donating to assist with the increased demand for care.
To view the dogs available for adoption, visit the Friends of the Wood County Dog Shelter Facebook page. The shelter continues to encourage community involvement in providing homes for these animals.
