Neighbors are cleaning up in Grand Rapids after a storm ripped through the area Tuesday night.
High winds knocked down power lines and large branches, which blocked roadways, alleys, and created quite a bit of property damage.
As small communities do, neighbors worked together to help clean up the damage Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and into the afternoon. Multiple people were seen cleaning the grounds of the historic Grand Rapids Town Hall. As of this post, many pathways to the state park are blocked due to downed trees.
Toledo Edison estimates that power should be restored around 1:30 or 2:00 pm today. Some areas surrounding Grand Rapids had their power turned back on late last night, many residents within the village reported the power went on for about an hour before it shut off again.
