There’s no better feeling than rescuing a new best friend from the local dog shelter and the Wood County Dog Shelter has plenty to choose from.
As of this post 12 dogs are up for adoption with Sawyer, an adorable 3 year old Bloodhound, having been at the shelter since late February. Sawyer is neutered, vaccinated, housebroken, and ready find a new family.
Other pets to note is Oscar, a 5 year old black and white Pit Bull Terrier mix. Oscar has been at the shelter since mid March. According to Friends of the Wood County Dog Shelter, Oscar has been marked urgent as he is becoming more dog-selective the longer he’s at the shelter. Oscar is fully neutered, fully vaccinated, and heart worm negative.
The Wood County Dog Shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30a until 4:30p, Thursday 8:30a until noon and then 3:30p until 4:30p. Saturday 9a until noon. Adoption fee is $89 with a $75 voucher to go toward pay/neuter costs. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located near route 6 and Dunbridge in Bowling Green.
